Martin Dargan is the oldest son of five and started cooking at 10 under the watchful eye of his grandmother. Feijoada, his first love, was the first dish she taught him how to cook and it took off from there. He fondly recalls how labor intensive cooking feijoada was and the way the kitchen would fill with the aroma of garlic, onions, and meat in the early afternoon. Chef Dargan is a Navy Veteran, Culinary Institute of America graduate, and carries culinary experiences that range from cooking on a warship to Michelin starred restaurant. For his guests, Chef Dargan takes the memories and comfort of Brazilian flavors of his childhood and harmonizes them with his culinary experiences as an adult to give you, The Feijoada House.
